Prof. Dr. Somashekar S. P Surgical Oncology ‘s Visit

Prof. Dr. Somashekar, a specialist in Surgical Oncology, Robotic Surgery, HIPEC and PIPAC surgeries from Aster International Hospitals Group, will visit Faruk Medical City on 27-28 August 2023.

Dr. Somashekar has an extensive medical background and vast experience that includes:

– Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Mysore University

– Master (General Surgery) from NHL Medical School

– MSc (Surgical Oncology) from GCRI Regional Cancer Centre

– Fellowship in Robotic Surgery from Roswell Cancer Center in Buffalo, USA

– Intensive international training in various disciplines

Dr. Somashekar is the Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board and Director of the Aster International Institute of Oncology. He is a pioneer in this field, having performed more than 3,000 robotic surgeries and 1,000  (HIPEC) procedures.

His awards include Dr. D. D. Patel Gold Medal, the Dronacharya Teachers Award, and Times Award for Excellence in Oncology, and many more. He has many books, educational books and publications.
