We are pleased to announce the visit of Professor Dr. Reza Shiari, Professor of Pediatric Rheumatology and Head of the Pediatric Rheumatology Department at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences – Tehran, Iran, to Faruk Medical City (FMC) to conduct a specialized pediatric rheumatology clinic from 26 /11 / 2025 until 28/ 11 / 2025.

Professor Dr. Reza Shiari received his M.D. degree and completed his pediatric residency at Shahid Beheshti University. He later obtained his Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship from Hokkaido University School of Medicine, Japan.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the Iranian Board of Pediatric Rheumatology under the Ministry of Health and Medical Education in Iran and is the Director of PRINTO (Pediatric Rheumatology International Trials Organization) in Iran.

Professor Shiari is also an active member of the Pediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS), the Iranian Pediatric Association, and the Pediatric Rheumatology Society of Iran (PRSI).

He has more than 20 years of clinical experience and has published over 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters.

His clinical expertise includes:

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), auto inflammatory diseases (FMF, PFAPA, CAPS, TRAPS, PAPA), Juvenile Systemic Lupus (SLE), Juvenile Dermatomycosis’s (JDM), Juvenile Idiopathic Inflammatory Myositis (JIIM), Juvenile Scleroderma, ANCA-associated vasculitis, Henoch–Schönlein Purpura (HSP), Kawasaki Disease (KD), MIS-C, autoimmune alopecia, psoriasis, and joint hypermobility.
