We celebrate Nurses Week every year from May 6 to May 12 to shine a spotlight on the incredible nurses that have devoted their lives to the betterment of the lives of others.
With Nurses Week 2020, the 200th anniversary of Florence Nightingale, and the Year of the Nurse and Midwife behind us, not much has changed So far. We are still grappling with a devastating pandemic, and frontline nurses and other healthcare staff are still struggling to care for an ailing population.
That said, we again want to use this opportunity to highlight all that nurses are, have been, and will be in our society. 2021 is a time to celebrate the efforts made by nurses everywhere to improve health conditions globally, and they are the core of the healthcare system.
